It's getting warmer and warmer, all the snow and ice is melting which means mud and nasty brown grass! lol...but if it's getting warmer I can't complain. I went out and shot with a AJ today and got to use a Canon 1D mark 2 n, I have used a mark 3 b4...I have really enjoyed this year b/c I have got to use so many different cameras!
I really wish I was home to watch my brothers and the Elmwood wrestling team wrestle at districts today. They qualified all 14 wrestlers for districts and are only one of 4 teams to do so this year! After the second round today Elmwood is in 1st place by 6.5 points and still have 5 unbeaten wrestlers...including my brother Westley! I cannot wait til hear how they do tomorrow! Good Luck Guys!!

Today I shoot some interior photos at Ivory Creek Bed and Breakfast in Hadley, MA. It is a beautiful huge house and I got a lot of sweet photos....I'll be uploading these photos on my blog soon. I enjoy doing interior photos, so if you guys know of any sweet interiors in Mass or back home in Ohio let me know, I'm looking for some modern architecture to shoot.

I can't believe I'm on fifty! Time has been really flying by, it seems like just yesterday was Christmas break....and spring break will be here soon!

Today was a lot of fun, me, AJ, and Cody went to Yale University so shoot some interior photos. The buildings there are beautiful and I got a lot of sweet photo which I will be putting on my blog soon.

Today I realized that I have been kind of negative and talking about others behind their backs. I'm normally not like this I just think it's the stress I have been under. I'm tired of this, I want to stop being gossipy and negative. Cause all it does is bring me down. I pray that God will surround me as I speak and my words can be uplifting and encouraging to others....I'm no better than anyone else. I'm gonna love others for who they are, which wont always be easy so if I have a negative attitude or something....tell me!
This evening was a lot of fun, I went out to eat with Sarah, Lisa and Jordan. I have been so busy I haven't really hung out with friends and I need to get out of the house more now that I'm not as busy!
I'm am really excited for tomorrow. Me, AJ, and Cody are going to Yale University to shoot some interiors!

This is the same place I took yesterdays photo. It's amazing how fast the weather can change in one day...yesterday was pretty warm and most of the snow was gone and today it's cold and it's snowing a lot!! Today I slept in and I was upset cause I wanted to go to church but it ended up being pretty good cause I read 2 more chapters in Blue like Jazz and have a quiet time....Tyler and Chris weren't up yet. Then I went to UMass and shot some interiors and went down by the river in Millers Falls and got some pretty cool photos.

I'm done with Phase 3 final!! I finished today at 2:30....I'm not to pumped about all of my work but I am just happy to have it all done! I got to go out and take some photos today, it was nice you be outside and just walk around and take photos. I am going to be doing a lot more personal work now, which I am excited about. But I hope you all are having a great weekend : )

Today has went very well so far! I Went to Smith College today to shoot my interior and I got a really cool shot! I have everything shot for my Phase 3 final, and everything edited except the CD cover and my brochure. Hopefully I can finish editing tonight and I can print everything tomorrow and be DONE! I can't wait : )

I am editing like crazy, I want to be done editing by tomorrow so I can get everything printed by Saturday. I'm not to thrilled with all of my photos but at this point I am just happy I have everything done.

I wanted to try something different today, so I messed around with layer blending and I came up with this...I know I could make it a lot better but I just don't have the time : / It's photo of me and a photo of a wall in my living room. I wanted to make it look like i was carved out of wood or something...

I went shopping today, SO I NOW HAVE FOOD IN MY FRIDGE : )

Today was a pretty good day, I picked out the photos I want to put on my web page....which I hope will be up soon, edited some phase 3 pics, AND the past 2 days I have scheduled 4 weddings for this summer, which is awesome! If you guys know anyone who needs, engagement photos, a wedding photographer, senior portraits, family pics, baby pics and sooo on please tell them about me! I am trying to find as much work as possible for this coming year.

lol the past month or so I have been living on a diet of rice, spaghetti, and orange juice....I don't know if that's healthy but it's all I can afford. On the bright side I think I'm losing some weight. I cannot wait til I am done with school and start working....so I can stop worrying about money.
Don't get me wrong, I am still going to take advantage of the time I have left here at Hallmark but at the beginning of the year I had no clue and couldn't even imagine going out on my own and starting my own photography business. But that has changed, I have learned a lot since then and I am confident that I can do well and make a living off photography. Hallmark has taught me marketing skills, how to run a business, and all the technical skills I need.

One more week! I can't wait! Phase 3 has been by far my least favorite because I have been so busy and have had no time to hang out with friends, do personal work, and just relax. I have been worried about finding models and shooting that I haven't really been producing the work I'd like too. I am trying to stay positive and productive. It's very easy to get discouraged about your work but I just have remember I am here to learn and that's what I'm doing! I know phase 4 will be a lot better!

I love sleeping in and waking up to a sunny day shinning though my window!
Today I slept in till 9am and then worked on my business plan which is due tomorrow : ( I'm gonna finish it in the next 2 yrs or so. Then I am going to start editing some photos and do my brochure.
I really wish I was home yesterday to see Elmwood wrestling team win the league meet! It's the 1st time Elmwood's won the SLL since my freshman year of high school! Elmwood had 7 champs, my brother Dexter took 4th, and Wes took 1st! Great job guys!

I have so much to do, so much to think and worry about. I wish I could be in multiple places at once!! But I know I just have to keep working and trusting God and everything will work out well. I am trying not to get frustrated/overwhelmed and keep a positive attitude, which isn't always easy! lol

IT FEELS LIKE SPRING IS COMING!!!! The sun was shinny and it was pretty warm today! lol but I wont get my hopes up yet, it'll probably be in the single digits again tomorrow! But I cannot wait for spring, I don't like winter as much as I used to.
Along with the great weather, I had a good day so far. I went to church with Josh and Tyler, got some products to shoot for my phase 3 project, finished my self portrait, gonna take a nap sooon, and will just relax the rest of the day.

I've been pretty productive today, I shot my occupational portrait, did my self portrait, and did some more of my business plan. And I am looking forward to a fun relaxing evening!
Today I am starting to read the book of john, I am only going to read one or two chapters per day so I can soak everything in...if I read to much at one time it all blends together and I miss something.

hello everyone!
Today me and Tyler went to school to get in line for equipment, we got there at 6:15am and there was already 50 or so people in line!? And the doors don't open til 7am. So we had to wait outside in 2 degree weather for 45min then another 40 min inside lol, not the best way to spend a Friday morning, aaand I didn't even get what I wanted lol. but thats life : )
But on the bright side I am scheduling shoots and getting some projects done! and I am thankful it's Friday and I'm looking forward to this weekend.

My favorite video game ever is Super Smash Bros Melee! It's so much better that brawl! I use Falco, what's your guys favorites character? I really miss playing video games at the green house with Matt, Tyler and Jake.

I am tired of money!!! I am a little over whelmed, today I made my business plan and I realized how much money it's going to take to start my own business. I have to buy a camera, lenses, lights, and some other random stuff. And on top of that I have to start making payments on my student loans! It is really scary thinking about all of this but I know I just have to trust God with my life and know that everything will work out. I am really excited to come home and start working, I have a plan and I'm ready to work hard to make it work!

I am starting to get a little worried about all of my projects : / They're due in 3 weeks and I still need to find some models. I have my outdoor, executive, CD cover, child under 7, and I have some other shots planned out. aaand my commercial shots are pretty much done, I'm gonna reshot some tho. So hopefully I can find some models!

I have a love hate relationship with my Mamiya 645. I love how sharp it is and how big the files are but that's about it. It's big, heavy, slow, the battery lasts an hr, the back falls off, horrible in low light and sooo on. I like the camera if I am in the studio but that's all...I really think Hallmark should have given us a Nikon D3 instead. The D3 is 3 times cheaper, way more versatile which would allow us to shoot more, and is a way more practical because most us will never use a 645 ever again after Hallmark. Hallmark could have enough 645s for the portrait and commercial studios and some extra to rent out, just think how much money that would save lol! The majority of the people in the morning are in line to get a D-SLR, if we all had a good D-SLR we would shot way more, be able to shoot more over break, and the line would go way done...and I'm sure Tony would like that!
Speaking of D-SLRs, what ever happened with us getting a Canon 5D!?! They told at the beginning of the year we were getting one and now the year is more than half done and we have nothing. Don't get me wrong, I really like it here at Hallmark, I am very thankful for everything I am learning and know I will be successful b/c of Hallmark.

OOHH and I have some good news! I got selected to be in Best of College Photography. ANd the ironic thing is that I entered 5 photos and the one the was selected was the only one not taken with my Mamiya 645. It was taken with a Sony a700.

I was going to do a time lapse of me driving back to Hallmark but halfway through the my battery died and a lot of my files were corrupt! : ( So here is one of the files that wasn't lost.
It's a 12 hr drive : / but it's not to bad, it's my 6th time making the trip by car and it gets easier every time. The drive today was pretty good, I got 31.5 mpg, and only stopped 3 times. I just listen to a lot of music and talk on the phone to pass the time....the past 2 trips I have spent time in silence. It's very relaxing, I just look at all the scenery, pray, think, and listen.

It was a lot of fun to be around wrestling again, I really miss coaching! Tonight my family and Jamie and her parents are all hanging out. And tomorrow I leave really early in the morning to go home, I'm really going to miss everyone! : ( I'm not looking forward to driving in snow for 12 hrs lol but I'll be fine and you guys will really like my self portrait tomorrow. Taco Bell is my favorite fast food! But I have been try to eat less fast food aaand I'm trying to stop drinking pop. So don't yell at me cause this is Jamie's pop from TB and I didn't even go there...it's all Jame : ) lol
Friday was crazy, my car got stuck in my parents driveway and I tried digging it out but I could so I have to drive the old family 1992 Astro Van...it's a beauty! I got dinner with Jamie at Trotters, hung out with Brittan and Rowen them spent the rest of the night at the Cottage with friends! It was a good night.
